They don't need drivers, unless you're running Windows 98 or earlier. It must be a problem with your machine.
I see. I'm asking because, everytime I put it into the machine now it says 'installing' then 'finding drivers'. After about 3 seconds, it comes up with a message saying 'error installing your USB device' and thats it.
I know I don't need drivers as it was working fine 2 months ago, but now its not seeing the device anymore.
I am running windows 2000 so am finding it abit weird.
These mp3 normally come up as a removable drive in my computer.
Try using exactly the same USB socket. Many USB drives come up with the 'USB device not recognised' balloon in XP, maybe this is the Win 2k 'ungraceful' rejection of the device.
Failing that, I hate to agree with Telly_Man, but it might be broken. Only other things to try are a powered USB hub or try it on another machine to see if it detects properly. They don't last forever, I've killed 2 in 18 months.
